We were performing in the rain! and the crowd partied right along with us. 10th Annual Jazz for Justice a benefit for the Children’s Programs at Legal Services of North Florida, a non-profit organization providing no-cost civil legal assistance to the poor. It was raining so bad as I watched the 1st half of the lakers vs rockets game. I thought to myself, I wonder if the people will still come. I head over to Chez Pierre and to my surprise it was packed! Heard some cool violin from Mark Russell, to follow, Big Daddy and Red Hot Java. We closed the show! Earlier in the VIP room Lotus performed. The crowd was so wired and ready to party. The live entertainment had to move inside  to a smaller patio area. The crowd was super close to the band. Literally could reach out and touch somebody. Live painting from Rohaun, which Mayor John Marks purchased. This environment was conducive for the ultimate social experience. It was like everyone had the own private show and their responses to the music made the performers push to new heights. Overall outstanding experience, can’t wait for the next one , God willing.
